In one of the rescue scenes, the two main characters crawl through an air vent to sneak around some monsters. I want to mention that unnecessary flip that is mentioned in the title. The story is pretty close to the game, so there isn’t anything notable that you couldn’t find in the game.
The voice acting was subpar, some of the main cast was alright but far from superb. Now DSD wasn’t as disappointing as I had thought, but isn’t as good as I hoped. I can’t forget about all of the blood and gore, there is plenty of that. The sound works with the atmosphere, but it anything special. I think it contributes to the grittiness of the film, but it could have looked sleeker. It is a mixture of Japanese anime style and like 1980s Heavy Metal animation. DSD has an interesting animation style, which I am not really sure where I stand on it.
